2nd Term

Posted on February 8th, 2012 by Caitlin Collom

It’s now my second week into the second term of my stay here.  I can’t believe how fast time is flying and with all the reading, studying, writing I have to do to prepare for my dissertation is overwhelming.  To be honest I’m not even sure what I’m going to write my summer dissertation on, but according to most of my classmates they are still trying to figure it out as well.  Life here has gotten easier, I’m so used to having to take the bus, and walk everywhere as well as dealing with the cold!

Ever since Vienna I’ve been bitten by the travel bug.  I have planned an amazing Easter Break trip where a friend from the US will visit and we will go to Amsterdam, Prague, Krakow, Bucharest, Brasov/Bran and Istanbul.  I can’t wait to give you details on that.  But I’m not done yet!  I’ve been thinking of taking weekend trips to different cities across the UK and Europe.  I just need to make sure I can keep up with my schoolwork!

On a different note I recieved a fiddle for Christmas and have started taking lessons.  I am so terrible, but lucky for my flatmates a music room is offered for people to practice outstide of their flat here with unverisity accomodation.  I know I just need to keep up with it and practice everyday, but I’m so terrible I may just stick with singing!

The other day several of my classmates and I went bowling and played mini golf!  It was so nice to just get out and have some friendly competition.  Bowling and mini golf is exactly the same here as in the States.  Apart from playing games this month I plan on going to several concerts to see Shinedown/Halestorm as well as Band of Skulls!  It’s just an exciting time.

I’m sorry to make this so short, but I have a bit of makeup work to do!

Stay Safe,

Caitlin

    Hi Cait!

Found your blog and am so excited for you after reading a few of your posts. Doing all the things you talk about, I’d be worn out just after studies, but you have fun while you can, right? Are ya learning neat and wonderful things? I sent a link to the gals in records.

    Blessings and God’s protection, Paul

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

WebsiteHeatmaps’s website heatmaps toolbar shows me where people are clicking on my site. The best part is that the software comes in the form of a toolbar that lies on top of my site so I never have to leave in order to measure my site’s analytics. I would recommend http://websiteheatmaps.wordpress.com to anyone who is serious about increasing their site’s conversion rates and getting more leads and sales.

The most typical mistake is to set up your company on a personalized profile and you see this a good deal on Facebook. It is simple to spot since you have pals as a substitute of ‘likes’. Personal profiles are for people and they have pals, pages are for corporations which men and women can then like.

Travelling is an excellent way to open up your mind. Its a good idea to try out different foods and cultures. Many new graduates enjoy taking a year out just back packing in Europe or working in a foreign country – a big adventure I must say. Of course make sure you write a CV that fits the local culture if you decide to apply to France for example….. good luck in your travels.

You make a good point, but I think it’s definitely more important to think about getting your rank up in the SERPs. Looking at trying a service that guarantees you first page ranking, like this for example: http://bit.ly/Jvnsxj

Its a good idea to start looking at a job during your second term or even earlier since many of the graduate position close in January. I know its difficult with all the work you have but you need to keep the goal in mind and not be left without a job at the end of your degree.
