Time to study..
Posted on October 7th, 2011 by Caitlin CollomNow that I’m going into my third week of study everything is starting to become a routine. I still haven’t found the balance between wanting to go out and try new restaurants and shopping with studying. The way the program is set up is alot different from what I’m used to in the US. Alot of it is based on self-study and choosing what you want to read. There is so much you can choose from that it all becomes a little overwhelming. Luckily the instructors are very nice and understanding and the classes are very engaging.
I am slightly frustrated with my housing situation though. I love my flatmates, otherwise I would move. The place I’m staying at in itself is alright, but because it is so cheap the rest of the buildings surrounding mine are filled with Freshman. The maturity differences because 18-20 year olds and Postgrads who are 23 and up is huge! I am trying to have patience! Just have to be thankful my flatmates are wonderful. I guess it’s just all part of the campus living.
The weather is starting to change here. It started out being in the high 50′s to mid 60′s and now it is dropping. The wind is bitingly cold now as well. Time to start bringing out the winter jackets!
I have had a little more time to explore as well. Today I went to breakfast at a place called Archibalds and then wandered on over to the Aberdeen Maritime Museum. The museum was wonderful! I was surprised how fascinating it was and how large. From the outside you wouldn’t think it would have been that big. Makes sense considering Aberdeen has a large oil industry from the North Sea.
Tomorrow I will be going to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle! Very excited to see more of Scotland.
I better get back to studying.
Here are some pics from the Museum.

i search helpin plz helping me
Hi Caitlin,
It was by accident I came across your blog. But I’m glad I did. I’m also an international student, studying in Glasgow. I’m from Australia, and a lot older than other students in the on campus accommodation. The things you mention, are the same things that I’m going through and it’s nice to read about it from someone else! This is my blog: http://ontheroadjournal.blogspot.com/ if you’re interested in reading it. I don’t expect a reply, so I’ll just say good luck and I hope you have an amazing time on exchange! Anna
nice information thank you very much for your time in posting..
Thanks for these guidelines. One thing I should also believe is always that credit cards giving a 0% rate often attract consumers in with zero rate of interest, instant approval and easy over-the-internet balance transfers, but beware of the main factor that will probably void that 0% easy streets annual percentage rate as well as throw you out into the terrible house fast.
I’m curious to find out what blog system you happen to be utilizing? I’m having some minor security problems with my latest site and I’d like to find something more risk-free. Do you have any recommendations?
Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your website? My blog site is in the exact same niche as yours and my visitors would definitely benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this alright with you. Appreciate it!
You have a very succesfull Blog. But i’ve seen some weakness in your search engine optimization. Your onsite seo is perfect but you need absolutely more backlinks for far better google ranking achievements. This is only a small tipp for you. Just check out this: http://c46ed1hpmt5rdr62umu8ud03p1.hop.clickbank.net/ I could see very good results with this little service
